As a leading manufacturer and supplier of mining equipment and engineered solutions to the South African mining industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Officer to join our team and ensure that our products consistently meet customer, engineering and company quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
\u2022 Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Control role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
\u2022 Proficient in the use of measuring equipment including verniers, tape measures, thread gauges and related inspection tools.
\u2022 Excellent attention to detail and strong observation skills.
\u2022 Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality processes.
\u2022 Good communication and report-writing skills.
\u2022 Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
\u2022 Relevant qualification in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Production Management or similar will be advantageous.
\u2022 Valid driver’s licence will be advantageous.
\u2022 Able to work underground,
\u2022 Fabrication\/engineering background rather than a generic ISO quality person.
\u2022 Background as boilermaker, fitter, toolmaker, or quality inspector from a mine or engineering workshop could be an excellent fit. Experience in drawings, tolerances, welding quality, and practical manufacturing
\u2022 South African applicant only reside in area
\u2022 Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for quality control throughout all stages of the manufacturing process, including:
Incoming Inspection
Production Quality Control
Final Inspection & Dispatch
Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement
